The former is a human that can have misfortune with people, artifacts, spells, sorceresses and karma that may end up altering his physical shape.
The later is a shape-shifting dragon traveling the universe trying to restore his lost mate. In his travel, he often encounter various people and place that may have an effect on the integrity of his draconic shape, or intermediate human form.
He won't hesitate to turn himself back into a human and being transformed if it mean advancing in his search.
